CHAKAM SCHOOL OF THE BIBLE INC.

REPORT TO THE AGM BY PRESIDENT/CEO JOHN FRYTERS

PERIOD : SEPTEMBER 1, 2010 – AUGUST 31, 2011

"God will strengthen you with his own great power so that you will not give up when troubles come, but you will be patient. And you will joyfully give thanks to the Father who has made you able to have a share in all that he has prepared for his people in the kingdom of light"

Colossians 1:11-12

2010-2011 have been great years of great blessings for CHAKAM for what seemed impossible happened, and indeed we give thanks with great joy to the Father who made it all possible. It indeed has been a time in which we experienced the kingdom of light notwithstanding some troubles once in a while. Thank you to Jesus and His and our father in Heaven.

As I kept most of you informed throughout the year through e-mails, telephone calls, blogs, visits and, of course, our website (thank you to my son Detlef), I will be brief in my reporting of past activities and spend a little bit of time on future activities.

  1. Student enrollment

---------------------------

We had a total of 12 regular distance education students at the Prince Albert campus. Two of them will be graduating with their second year Biblical Studies Diploma and one with his Biblical Studies Certificate. Graduation is planned for the third week of January 2012 in our sub-campus in Regina. About 4 students are on the verge starting Associate Arts/Bachelor degree programs through our seminary in Marshfield, Missouri (Biblical Life College and Seminary)

Special interest courses such anger management facilitation and community mentor training for the homeless were attended by about 80 students in the Prince Albert area.

We also have had about (rough estimate) 370 individuals taking full-time, part-time and casual courses in our sub-campuses in Peru, Uganda, South Sudan, and Ghana.

We have opened up two new sub-campuses in the month of August in Yei and Kajo Keji County in new Republic of South Sudan, as well as in Accra-Kasoa and Accra-North in Ghana.

  1. Theology of Work

---------------------------

This is our second year in partnership with Bakke Graduate University in Seattle, Washington. We have delivered Theology of Work training in Canada, Peru and South Sudan. Two levels have been developed and the undersigned is currently writing a TOW 101 – Basics distance education course (hope to be marketed in the early part of 2012).

Bakke Graduate University, through Mustard Seed Foundation in Arlington, Virginia, assisted us through a second year grant of $ 14,750.00. Our application for a third year grant has recently been submitted.

  1. CBA – Operation Blessing

-------------------------------------

We provided some consulting services (fundraising development) to CBA (Operation Blessing in Canada) for about 3 to 4 months. This has now been terminated due to a change in direction by CBA – Operation Blessing. However, throughout the calendar year of 2011 this ministry has continued to support us on a monthly basis at a rate of

$ 1,500.00 which was designated to our work with First Nations/Metis peoples within the Prince Albert area (a portion to be given to Jubilation Program for its work with First Nations and Metis people, particularly the Homes for the Homeless Program and the yearly Community Christmas Dinner). We were recently been informed that Operation Blessing will continue this financial support until March 31st, 2012 at which time a different funding formula will be applied to outside ministries.

However, we are grateful to the Lord for allowing CBA – Operation Blessing to be a blessing to us.

  1. CIDA-sponsored project in Kajo Keji County in the new Republic of South Sudan

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We were able to, once again, visit our Comprehensive Technical School in Kajo Keji County in the month of August. More details can be obtained from our partner's web site at www.sshada.org. Pictures are also on our own web site at www.worldoutreach.ca

On April 1st, 2011, 40 students enrolled in four vocational training streams – computer technology, building & construction, carpentry, and fashion design/sewing. These students, all in a one year certificate program, will graduate officially in January/February of 2012. The undersigned hopes to attend the graduation with our current vice president Rickey Davis in January of 2012.

CIDA approved the extension of the project, without additional financial support, until November 2012 at which time the project is to be handed over to local authorities. We are currently working on a revised sustainability plan as we are not sure if the new Government of South Sudan has any intentions to carry on operations.

We obtained a matching grant of $ 5,000.00 from the Matching Grant Program, operated by the Saskatchewan Council for International Cooperation, and financed through the Province of Saskatchewan. 2011 was also the year in which CHAKAM became a full member of SCIC.

We are very pleased with the relationship we have built with SSHADA in Saskatoon – our mentoring program is now sliding into a phase of independence for SSHADA ( though unfortunately their first proposal to CIDA was turned down). We might have to, once again, join with them as an equal partner in the development of a Maternal and Child Health Clinic and Training Centre in Kajo Keji County. We are planning a number of meetings in early 2012 to explore possibilities.

  1. Other international development opportunities

-------------------------------------------------------------

While in Peru (May 2011) and Africa (Uganda, South Sudan, Ghana in August & September of 2011), we actively explored a number of potential international development opportunities :

A special thanks to Dr. Randy Neilson, my pastor and senior pastor of Brampton Christian Fellowship whom I joined in Ghana in September 2011 and whose church has continued to provide us with financial assistance (currently $ 300.00 monthly) which is totally allocated to pay for the salary of a poor pastor and his wife in Tablada de Lurin. He is also my spiritual advisor which is extremely important in my role as leading CHAKAM through a strategic direction guided by the Lord.

  1. A special relationship

-------------------------------

A very special relationship and friendship has developed between CHAKAM, the undersigned and our Director in Uganda, Pastor Francis Makoha Agati. Since taking charge of our sub-campus in Mukono, Uganda and a off-site campus in Busia, close the Kenyan border, this wonderful minister of the Gospel has done a fantastic job. A true friendship has developed between the two of us. I am intending to spend a considerable amount of my remaining time with CHAKAM to find support systems and financing for this minister and the ministries God called him to. In January of 2012, I hope to introduce Vice-President Rickey Davis to this man and his ministries.
